Everyone continues to amaze me. Listening to all the statements I could feel Waikato in everyone's quilt. Thanks Ashleigh for the yummy cupcakes, and for so quickly getting the photos online.

I have googled fibrelicious and there it was. Two main themes coming through with this title :-) Some silly and not so silly suggestions from my husband. Will let it go round and round for a while but starting to get an inkling for my direction.

Sunday get together

Just thought i'd let you know that I will be baking a cake for us to snack on for our get to gether. Why not make an afternoon of it :)

Nearly there!

Slow but steady is all I can say about my progress this time. Not really enthused about my creation this time but will keep working on it.

Less than a week to go

We have less than a week to go before our next get together so if you havn't already finished you better get your skates on. ( I can only say that with a smile because I have finally finished ) This Sunday which is the 27th of March is the date to be here with you finished quilt and 2pm. See you all then.

At Last!!!

Phew I can sigh a little bit of relief because finally today i managed to cut my fabrics & start putting my 12x12 together!! Everything, touch wood, has gone really well & I am happy with the result so far, however I have a long way to go with lots of fiddly stitching to do! One day in the future hopefully I can be a bit easier on myself & do something a lot simpler!!Definitely looking forward to Sunday & seeing everyones masterpieces! (The worst case scenario is at least this is applique so I will have something to show!!).

As time draws closer i'm getting more and more nervous and I really think I might be the one to let the team down this time! I just CAN'T get into it and my friends from Christchurch are staying with us for a while and for the life of me I just can't seem to find time. I think i need my partner to lock me in my sewing room and put a padlock on the outside so I can't get out untill I finish. Good idea?? Hope everyone is having more luck than me!

International 12x12

Hi Everyone.Not sure if any of you follow the International 12x12 group but thought I'd let you know their latest quilts in their colourplay challenge are on display now.The colours they had to use were blue,brown & sage. I like the results. Amazingly similar compared to a lot of their previous challenges.The website is http://www.twelveby12.org/ .The next colour is Chartreuse & will be revealed on 12 April - looking forward to the challenge! Their blog is quite interesting as they show fabrics etc of what they have in the theme colours,cool to see them eventually made up.

Just do it!

Spent so much time thinking (usually in the middle of the night), sketching, browsing, researching, abandoning ideas and creating new ones, abandoning the obvious and creating the nebulous. Get over it Bev, just do it!! Tomorrow I will - just do it!!!
