A puzzling question

Why is that you can create a wonderful design in your head and when you come to make it up in fabric it just looks stupid!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone, what an awesome array of quilts we saw on Sunday!I must say it was a great way to spend an afternoon.What an amazing bunch of ladies you all are - can definitely see why every one of you are in this group!As for our new topic of Waikato - my biggest problem will be choosing just one thing from the page full of ideas that I have already listed (ha & to be organised enough as I'd like to be the one writing "I'm finished" a week before they are due!!)

Next get together

Just confurming that our next get together is on the 13th of Feb at 2pm, the same time as last time. Hope everyone can make it and has their finished quilt with them ready to share. Looking forward to it.

Literally two minutes ago. Amazing. Yes, it will be great to meet up next Sunday and share our work. So interested in what everyone else has done. AND looking forward to the next theme. Can't wait to get my teeth into another one. Less apprehensive now. Thank you Donna for giving me this opportunity!!! :-)

I finally completed my piece.  Am very happy that it is finished and can't wait to see all the finished pieces.  I know they are going to be great.  Roll on Sunday 13.

Hi Everyone. I finally got a little bit of time on sunday evening to work on my quilt, got going with some machine sewing & then the power went off!!!Typical!!Fortunately I did have some dreaded hand sewing to do so with a useful,but unattractive,head lamp on I managed to do something!All I can say is thank goodness it is only 12x12 & there will be minimal quilting to do. Ha my school taxi service has started up again yesterday so hopefully once I get home I can find some motivation (somewhere???) to turn my house from it's bombsite state into a showroom so that I can sew without worrying that someone might turn up!! Look forward to our rapidly approaching next get-together!!That's exciting.
